Daily Math Challenge - June 14, 2023



Observe the sequence of numbers 1, 3, 2 . . . , where each term starting with the third term is equal to the term preceding it minus the term preceding that one.  In other words for 1, 3, 2, the term 2 is found by 3 – 1.  The fourth term would be found by 2 – 3.  What is the sum of the first 1000 terms of the sequence?
