Problem of the Week - August 07, 2023

You decide to make yourself a steaming cup of hot chocolate (cocoa).  You begin by making a full cup (8 ounces) of hot chocolate (consisting of water and cocoa mixture).  You drink one-eighth of it.  You then decide that the hot chocolate needs some milk.  You add the same amount of milk as you have just consumed of the hot chocolate.  Next you drink one-third of the new mixture.  Again, you decide that the drink needs more milk so you pour into the cup the same amount of milk as you have just consumed from the new mixture.  Now you drink one-half of the newest mixture.  One last time, you add the same amount of milk as you have just consumed.  Finally, you decide the mixture is perfect and drink the whole cup.  How many ounces of milk did you consume?
