Problem of the Week

A new problem every Monday that challenges participants of all ages to think creatively and apply their math skills. Perfect for a weekly mental challenge.

A powerful number is a positive integer N where every prime p that divides N also has p2 dividing N.  For example, 36 is powerful because both 22 and 32 divide it.  Find the first powerful number larger than 1000.
