Middle School Madness

Weekly problems for middle school students ready for a challenge. These puzzles enhance logical thinking and make math exciting and rewarding.

You have one each of coin, penny, nickel, dime, quarter in a jar.  Someone removes one of the coins out of the jar (and you do not see the coin removed).  After this coin is removed, what is the probability that the sum of the remaining three coins in the jar is greater than thirty cents?  Remember, probability is a value from 0 to 1.
